Theory/Hazard Perception Test
This test consists of two parts; a multiple choice test, and a hazard perception exercise.

The theory is 50 questions and you need to get 43 out of 50 to pass.

The hazard perception is video clips where you have to see hazards. The sooner you see it the higher the score your get and you need to get 44 out of 75 in this.
You are required to pass both parts of the test at the same time in order to successfully complete it.

I, along with a number of other local instructors run a theory test help centre for anyone who needs some help or guidance with this on a Monday evening each week.

The Driving Test

Your driving test begins with an eyesight check and some vehicle safety questions. Your test is approximately 35-40 minutes.

In this time you need to show the examiner the driving skills you have learnt.
They want to see that you understand all the rules and regulations to pass this test along with having the attitude to drive safely.
You will be asked to do approximately 10 minutes independent driving following signs or directions given.
You will also be asked to do one manoeuvre and possibly an emergency stop.
You are allowed 15 driver faults (16 or more will result in a failure).
If you commit a single serious or dangerous fault, you will fail the test.
